  • A Burning Grief

    A Burning Grief

A burning grief shone in my heart like an everlasting flame in the middle of the night, when no creature of the magic oak forest dared to sing. An impetuous waft surrounded me like an ineluctable fate plotting behind my back, as the darkness would make me fade from sight. While an eagle-owl was my oracle whispering enigmas and revealing riddles, a tempest cast its sinister gaze on me as an ominous presage. The cloudy sky embellished the night with gloomy hues and wrapped the stars, too fearful to be seen, whilst the moon concealed its countenance behind an immense thunderhead. No impetuous trepidation could have been placed in my heart, at that very moment when I realised that the ghosts of my archaic past had left me in agony for so long a time. Nothing more could have been a reason for delight, once I discovered the pure emptiness of my existence made of dust and decay. Broken vows and erratic dreams departed from my modest dwelling, leaving a trail of withered flowers and oak scent. The most intrinsic essence of my existence was soaked with black tea, mint and vanilla. A burning grief kept its everlasting flame alive like a torch blazing in my heart, never leaving me for eternity. The chimes of an antique longcase clock resounded all over the oak forest, evoking wonder and apprehension. I felt a tremendous distress causing my agony to persist in its overwhelming purpose, and I believed that nothing anymore was really significant enough to influence my peculiar fate now that the darkness had welcomed every dream of mine. Alas, that burning grief not only had conquered my heart but it didn’t hesitate to defeat all my defences. Once again I could be allowed to win my reward for such a monumental sorrow since nightmares enclosed me even more than before.

  • The Restlessness Of The Night

    The Restlessness Of The Night

The restlessness of the night never left my quiet chamber adorned with ancient mirrors and candles extinguished by the freezing wind of the darkness.
The silence helped my nightmares discourage my heart from holding dear its long-coveted desires.
Henceforth, I tried not to panic when I realised that I couldn’t find any image of myself in the mirrors of my antique manor.
Not even a portrait was there and each time I tried to perceive my countenance, all I could discover was a box full of sand and decay.
The hours sang an elegy for the passing of the night that was infinite and determined to rule hegemony in the realm of my bizarre fantasies and odd revelations.
Magic dreams were only faraway illusions that had been bestowed to me once again only to be left in the abyss of despair with nothing but my vest full of sand and decay.

The restlessness of the night offered me the goblet of eternal torment, alluring me with fairy tales and foolish legends.
I wished to become an invisible creature of the gloomy night, however, I could do nothing but observe my name inscribed on every wall and book that I had encountered.
No importance was given to my will since the day I was born beneath the hollow trees of dismay.
The stars manifested their disregard for me, leaving me in my senseless loneliness, at the mercy of the raging storms that would have swept me away.
In vain, I claimed my liberty from that misfortune, but they came to claim me and all that once was mine, the ghouls from the archaic world of my past misadventures.
Perhaps I could have forgotten the sensations of delight and gentle euphoria.
The restlessness of the night had become the portal to my agony and everlasting grief, which never abandoned my aching heart.

  • My Sleepless Nights

    My Sleepless Nights

My sleepless nights made of grief and regret ensnared me in their murky web, as if to subjugate me to their languid call toward an abyss of misery and anguish. The ocean chanted an elegy for my solemn sorrow, almost as if to ceremoniously celebrate my distress. And even the birds couldn’t help but pity me as my dismay was conspicuous like the ocean waves.

The abyss of shadows welcomed me as if I were destined to lose every wish and hope, for I felt the bitterness of my fate, whose manifestation of generosity took the form of painful anguish. From my tears grew anger and vengeance like evergreen flowers. Memories kept being unwelcome intruders, not leaving me alone even during my peaceful sleep.

The bells of a forsaken chapel rang like spectres of the night, and I felt the solitude grasping me with its intangible strength, as if it wanted me to be part of its deserted realm of invisible and silent creatures. As I proceeded in exhaustion and haze, I couldn’t perceive the sight of the stars, which the gloomy clouds hid behind their majestic veil.

My sleepless nights were not over yet since they had become an endless eternity made of frail dreams and broken promises. Softly the sea breeze stretched the branches of withered trees toward me like arms willing to hug me in their emptiness. A sudden rainfall caused me to lose my route and I became entangled in a secret garden.

In vain I summoned spirits and ghosts to grant me some sort of furlough from my disastrous and tumultuous fortune, which led me to ancient ruins where no dreams were allowed to manifest, leaving me with decayed fragments of elegies that seemed like interrupted magic spells. After all I suffered in my sleepless nights, I had become darkness. And there was no beginning or end in that vast expanse full of sacred oblivion.

  • The Silence Of The Night

    The Silence Of The Night

The silence of the night made me travel till the end of the material worlds
Where I lost my direction and purpose in life without hesitation
I began my journey to the ethereal and idyllic realm of phantoms and elegiac mirage
I fell over and over again for I was unaware of my path made of sharp stones and brambles drawing my attention
Withered roses and arcane trees surrounded me under the shape of precious acquaintances
While I could see castles in the air floating like ephemeral flowers’ petals

The silence of the night lulled me to the brink of a deep slumber made of delusional chimaeras and phantasmagorias
So soothing was the melody of the nocturnal birds hovering in the forest
So sweet was the exquisite scent of extravagant blossoms in the magic meadows
Where I was lingering with all my laziness willing to lose my ability for discernment
    Indulging in desires and imagination
My mind began quietly to be inclined toward hesitation
Lost in the chaotic shenanigans of my doubts and fears

Enchantments and witchcraft blossomed under the shape of occult grimoires, scarlet roses, and magic lanterns
Which surrounded me with their glimmers and shadows
While crystal hourglasses and iridescent sand marked the passage of my time in that fairy-tale world
Where even compasses lost all sense of direction
In that extraordinary aura of mysterious wonders and inexplicable visions
Crows and ravens flew around the sparkling moon
Singing hymns to the majestic night

The cold waft of the darkness struck me
Not yet able to wake me up from my profound slumber
Since no compass was able to guide me in that topsy-turvy mystery
Which had become a part of me and haunted the chasms of my imaginings
At last, I had altered the silence of the night into a delirious stupor of wild dreams and spellbinding adventures.

  • Wonderful Darkness

    Wonderful Darkness

Wonderful darkness in the midst of my dreams shrouded me in its velvety dark veil, inlaid with stars and crescent moons. I was frightened to lose myself in the infinite void in front of me. Chaos enthralled me, as I was cast out of every solace, and I made acquaintance with demons and nightmares.

I was everything, and I was nothing. I was infinite, and I was confined. No shapes or colours could define me, as I had lost my primordial impression. A festive creature had announced to me a decadent fate to me, leaving me withered flowers and branches covered with thorns. Although hesitation grasped me, I was determined to embrace the defiant distress that confined me in a dungeon of tears and vexations.

Sweet dreams became dreadful nightmares whenever I was beset by tainted slumber. Candles were burning in the night haze, while I listened to the roars of fierce thunder. My tense heart fainted as it bestowed every drop of its essence to impatient and greedy spirits. In confusion and silence, I remained still like a frozen sculpture.

I had severed all empathy for my past self. Decline was my inevitable destiny, and I sank deeper and deeper into the abyss of despair. Skeletons of memories claimed me from their otherworldly home. Ethereal flames adorned me like a fiery crown. In my eternal dream, I was flying free like a butterfly on a spring morning.

Nonetheless, what was expected was a storm of wrath and demise. Wonderful darkness had entangled me in a quagmire filled with ghosts and howls. My heart was viciously tormented, fractured and torn to pieces. I couldn’t find a shadow willing to grant me even a fragment of marvel.

The firmament hid the stars’ bright glow beneath dark and threatening clouds, and I acquiesced to my fate. Evanescent shadows wrapped me with their mysterious soliloquies. I traversed my last portal without any hope of return. My name was obliterated, and my heart was swallowed by wonderful darkness. Through loss, vexation, and oblivion, I was consecrated to the eternal and infinite night.
