    The Twilight of Ruin

The twilight of ruin decayed among shadows
A magnificent graveyard of dreams and desires
I had to die many times in order to live again
Terrifying statues were starring to me
Their eyes made of thorns carved sorrow on my face
They were the guardians I had buried inside my heart

The dry tree branches were sharp claws trying to clasp me
Their elongated roots reached my gown
Dragging me impetuously towards the secret underworld
As if death reclaimed me as its precious possession
And that stillness so soft and pale was a spell for my final demise
I knew immediately that I was languidly dying

I was a belonging of the realm of death
An eternal flame of doom burned inside my heart
I became an immortal creature of darkness
A dark fairy flying over the garden of withered roses
No passions could be reanimated since they faded away
Blue and grey hues of melancholy tinted my dress

I felt a fabulous and decadent flower of the night
I lived an existence of perpetual night and decay
I loved my seclusion and loneliness beneath a gloomy and cloud sky
Shadows and ghosts were my loyal companions
The blades of the rose thorns made me bleed,
    kissing my lips
The exquisite scent of coffins lingered in the gloom

I was free and ethereal, like the crimson petal of a rose
I was not anymore afraid to lose everything once was my belongings
I was dead and bound to the eternal realm of nothingness
Devoted and loyal to my grief and anguish, I was married to the dark, eternal hush
The echoes of the dead alive clung to me like mourning veils
And I danced, lost beneath the indifferent gaze of the moon at the twilight of ruin.

  • Elegy Of The Withered Roses

    Elegy Of The Withered Roses

Elegy of the withered roses was one of the hymns carved on my book of dreams
Every time I opened it to flee the reality around me, I found myself in another world
A realm of solace and delight but also with dreadful and disquieting hues
Confused and dazzled, I began to proceed on my walk to the fountain of knowledge
The more I wanted to know, the more I was convinced to know less

My struggle to understand the mystery beyond a legend so dear to me was overwhelmed by the fear of oblivion
As soon as I desired to open the books, decay trapped me in a state of affliction
And nightmares hunted me like prey, wherever I was, in the garden of desolation
What I’ve never seen before appeared in the mirror of my fate
The truth hurt me like a dagger inside my bleeding heart

The doom of desolation and solitude tainted every delight of mine
Although I was fleeing the reality, I couldn’t find any haven where to rest in peace
Sombre clouds overcrowded the night sky, obliterating all the stars
And the moon emerged immense in her startling splendour
As she was chanting the elegy of the withered roses

I couldn’t understand if the shrieks I was hearing were groans of mockery or laments of sorrow
All I could see was shadows embedded in the roots of dead trees
Twisting like tortured souls in the abyss of perpetual despair
Because after all, every dream of mine was a nightmare In the luminous hush of night
Since my heart was just an imperfect relic of impetuous storms

Nothing more could have been mended
The rift between the realm of nightmares and longings had outgrown
My castle of hopes and illusions had crumbled to pieces
Its towers dissolved into mist, and its gates were devoured by stillness
I stood in my loneliness surrounded by the debris and clutching dreams that were turned to dust
As if sorrow itself had rewritten the fabric of my heart.

  • Winter Gardens

    Winter Gardens

    Winter gardens of lost memories,
Where frost clung to the withered roses,
Silent whispers through the twisted trees,
In the hush where the cold wind blew.

Echoes of reveries, now long gone,
    Stirred the barren, shadowed soil,
Time’s breath on the frost, a muted melody,
In the quiet where the past was never to be found.

Underneath the snow, the secrets lay,
Frozen dreams in a spectral light,
The ghosts of moments that drifted and sighed,
In the garden’s mournful, endless night.

    Winter gardens of lost hopes,
Where every snowflake was a wistful tear,
Remnants of bliss in the icy breeze,
    Softly faded through the years.

Beneath the ice, the earth still wept,
As the sun dipped low in the sky,
Shadows lingered where the sorrow seeped,
And the past’s faint relics silently faded.

Each hidden path led to a mysterious tale,
    In the stillness, secrets panted,
Time wove its web with a delicate veil,
Of forgotten dreams, it concealed beneath.

In the twilight’s chill, the spectres played,
    Danced through the frost’s embrace,
Guardians of memories lost and invisible,
In the garden’s cold, silent space.

    Winter gardens of lost memories,
    Timeless realms where shadows blended,
    Preserved fragments of their reveries,
Until the thaw brought them to an end.

    Whispering groves of forgotten tales,
Where instants of time slowly blended,
In the still of the night, underneath ghastly trees,
Lost longings from the past died away.

    Frozen branches cradled dreams unspoken,
In their grasp, a fragile repose,
Silence infused new life into dreams once broken,
    Where every frost-bitten memory bloomed.

Amidst the snow’s cold, delicate lace,
Phantoms of old hopes softly trod,
In the garden’s frost-kissed, sacred space,
Lay the eternal quiet of what was said.

    Winter gardens of lost memories,
    Guardians of time’s elusive grace,
Held the past in its frozen seas,
Till the thaw unveiled their hidden place.
