Dark Secrets

A photo of darkness evocative of the poem Dark Secrets

Dark secrets in the depths of night,
Where shadows creep,
Beneath the veil of moonlight’s gleam.

A hollow echo in the chamber of fears,
Summoning silent screams that cannot be heard,
Lost in the labyrinth of despair.

Graveyards reveal secrets to the wind,
Ghouls fly beneath the pale moon’s gaze,
Where tombstones mark the silence of the dead.

Cloaked in darkness, truths are unseen,
Masked by joy, hiding the darkness within,
Unveiling secrets like cracks in a mirror.

Shadows linger where light dare not tread,
In the quietude of night, secrets are bared,
Revealing tales of sorrow and dread.

Whispered softly, yet never shared,
In the stillness of the night, mysteries are unveiled,
Each desire harbours an untold lore.

A garden of secrets that darkness stores,
In the silent hours, secrets speak their truth,
Glimmering like stars in the night’s embrace,
Unravelling mysteries that time can’t erase.
