  • With A Shadowed Soul

    With A Shadowed Soul

With a shadowed soul and a heart in pieces,
I proceeded without direction and without refuge
In the vast expanse of works of eternal beauty and magnificence,
In my solitude, misunderstood and isolated,
    shunned for my identity,
always having to hide like a creature invisible to mortals,
    yet present and alive,
With a heart burning like an unquenchable flame.

    Deafening noises haunted me,
And I sought to hide as far away as possible
In a clearing of unquenchable and precious peace.
    I dodged mortals, I dodged their wicked and illusory souls;
beings I deemed unworthy even of their glance upon me.

The thorns of my sorrows pressed into my heart,
    making it bleed.
It had become like a kind of gigantic sculpture
that radiated pain and the weight of life,
    But also ardour and passion.

The envy and jealousy of petty, tainted beings
left traces of filth and decay
upon my veil of protection and innocence.
The sacredness and devotion of my heart
    had been contaminated and defiled
by their greed and rotting wickedness.

Their twisted faces bore a grin of satisfaction
and, at the same time, of bitter corruption,
to the point that their faces were disfigured
    by sores and deformities,
as if they had contracted leprosy
    or some terrifying disease.

My search for untainted love and the sublime had become impossible,
for the shadows of these monsters,
whose cruelties towards me were unparalleled and horrific,
obstructed the view and the landscape
to the point that I could see no more,
And the fog filled my eyes,
    And I saw only darkness—
The vastness of oblivion tried to swallow me.

By now, the veils of illusion had fallen to the ground,
And I could see reality as it truly was,
For those bitter disappointments I was experiencing
In those very moments of contrition
had helped me to see those malevolent and dreadful souls
    for what they truly were.

With a shadowed soul, I remained abashed,
standing at the edge where hope and despair are mashed.

  • Infinite Stairs Of Waiting

    Infinite Stairs Of Waiting

    Infinite stairs of waiting
The more I wait, the more I feel trapped in the dungeon of anguish.
The more I climbed the stairs, the more I tried to ascend,
the more it seemed I was descending downward with no result.
All of this made me frustrated
because I could not reach my goal.

In my stillness I found myself,
But at the same time, I lost a part of me.
It was as if everything I had learned
    I had lost and forgotten,
and everything I did not know
    I had unconsciously acquired.

Confused and bewildered in a place of nowhere
I strived to believe in my dreams but all I could do was fall from the stairs

It was a game of illusion and reality.
I had ceased to discern what seemed deception from what was truth.
    Both had blended together.
It was as if there were no longer any meaning,
and no longer any need to possess the domain of wisdom and knowledge.
Everything had shattered into the abyss of ignorance and madness.

And I proceeded on a thin thread between creation and destruction.
My perplexities and hopes echoed as if they resounded through enigmatic structures, without meaning and expectations.

Spirits that I could not discern, that I could not distinguish, whispered to me encouragements to pursue. But every time I fell and plunged into another flight of stairs, they laughed, almost as if to make fun of me — and to mock my inexperience and incompetence.

In solitude I found myself lost, and there I languished like a creature from other worlds, indulging in my languor and melancholy; I was certain that I was towards myself and my image no longer had reflections in any mirror. The staircase was truly infinite like a steep ascent without end; there was neither a beginning nor an end, everything was an infinite perpetuity of distress and anguish.

Infinite stairs of waiting were my dwelling for eternity, and there I had to… to… I didn’t know anymore.

  • Endless Despair

    Endless Despair

    Endless despair gripped my heart
Piercing it with swords and daggers
Fracturing the path I was walking
Each step was a struggle against the poundage of my grief and sorrow

The sky above me was now a dark and endless void
Where the sun had long since surrendered its passion
Leaving only the cold embrace of night
A reminder of obliteration and demise

Shattered fragments of dreams clung to my soul
Their edges were sharp and slashed my heart
Memories of bliss dissolved like smoke
Vanishing before I could hold them

I reached for something but nothing remained
Indeed, my hands met only the emptiness
A nothingness that mocked every effort of mine
A silence that devoured my voice

In the depths of this abyss
I wondered if escape was even possible
But I became aware that I was doomed to wander this desolation endlessly
    Forever lost and eternally broken

    Endless despair destroyed my heart
Crushing it to ashes that the wind scattered into the emptiness
I sought solace in oblivion’s embrace
A cold grip that seemed to release me

Each moment of stillness only exacerbated my misery
Since even the quietness was full of screams and outcries
No glimmer of light teased the edges of my sight
Every beauty and hope vanished as quickly as it appeared in my imagination

I was left with nothing but a bitter taste of what I could never acquire
The hours crawled like chains across my heart
Each tick was a reminder of all I could never reclaim
The past and the future were both my dungeons of distress

I remained trapped in a perpetual desperation
I felt myself dissolving into the night
As the ghouls of this realm were obliterating what little remained of me
    And I became nothing

A sigh lost to the wind
    I didn’t know what I was anymore
I felt forgotten and my spirit was broken
Relinquished among the shadows of the dead.

  • Elegy Of The Withered Roses

    Elegy Of The Withered Roses

Elegy of the withered roses was one of the hymns carved on my book of dreams
Every time I opened it to flee the reality around me, I found myself in another world
A realm of solace and delight but also with dreadful and disquieting hues
Confused and dazzled, I began to proceed on my walk to the fountain of knowledge
The more I wanted to know, the more I was convinced to know less

My struggle to understand the mystery beyond a legend so dear to me was overwhelmed by the fear of oblivion
As soon as I desired to open the books, decay trapped me in a state of affliction
And nightmares hunted me like prey, wherever I was, in the garden of desolation
What I’ve never seen before appeared in the mirror of my fate
The truth hurt me like a dagger inside my bleeding heart

The doom of desolation and solitude tainted every delight of mine
Although I was fleeing the reality, I couldn’t find any haven where to rest in peace
Sombre clouds overcrowded the night sky, obliterating all the stars
And the moon emerged immense in her startling splendour
As she was chanting the elegy of the withered roses

I couldn’t understand if the shrieks I was hearing were groans of mockery or laments of sorrow
All I could see was shadows embedded in the roots of dead trees
Twisting like tortured souls in the abyss of perpetual despair
Because after all, every dream of mine was a nightmare In the luminous hush of night
Since my heart was just an imperfect relic of impetuous storms

Nothing more could have been mended
The rift between the realm of nightmares and longings had outgrown
My castle of hopes and illusions had crumbled to pieces
Its towers dissolved into mist, and its gates were devoured by stillness
I stood in my loneliness surrounded by the debris and clutching dreams that were turned to dust
As if sorrow itself had rewritten the fabric of my heart.

  • The Tides Of Death

    The Tides Of Death

The tides of death and despair devour me into their abyss. Intimidated, I let the cold ocean swallow me in its frightening chaos. Humiliation and surrender chained me to the ocean floor; under constraints, I couldn’t escape my doomed fate.

And I felt nothing, absolutely nothing. So much so that I was devoid of my essence and true self
In the midst of emptiness, I was the embodiment of decadence and death. Nothing anymore could have hurt me because I was definitely belonging to the realm of demise.

The tides of death transformed me into a creature of the realm of destruction and nothingness. I was a spirit of the dark abysses and my words were made of absolute silence. Betrayed by my dreams, I realised that I had no hope of staying alive and accepting my end.

My heart had stopped beating and I was depleted like a withered rose. Nothing could have revived me and so much I strived to hold and cherish my desires, in the desperate endeavour to conquer my feeble spirit. The marine soil trembled under my faint body and opened into a dreadful gorge.

Terror was the only emotion filling my heart. The distress was so brutal that it tore me apart. All that remained to me was to sing a silent song of desolation and defeat while collapsing under the weight of sorrow. I was all alone in the chasm of darkness and death, and nothing could have saved me.

The tides of death possessed me and I couldn’t rebel against them. I was like a buried flower, dead before it was supposed to die. No tears rescued me from my deep despair. No slumber could have made me feel better. In that perpetual torpor, I was destined to remain for eternity and beyond.

  • The Mask Of Illusion

    The Mask Of Illusion

The mask of illusion hid behind an ephemeral mirth
Whenever I tried to pick the sublime flowers of joy
Pretending that I could be worthy of happiness and hope

Only in my dreams, I could see my confined heart
In a cage made of crystal and gold
From which it could never be set free
Because the destiny of my soul was doomed forever to indifference and distress

That was the reason I fed myself with the poison of illusions
Illusions hiding behind a mask of conventional pretences
I’ve always loved lying to myself

In the rush for survival, I forgot my real name
Getting lost amidst the euphoric frenzy of fleeting instants
I did let myself dissolve in the labyrinth of shadows

The mask of illusion became deformed and heavier
And underneath it, there was only a haze of darkness
A void where once upon a time there was a glowing light

    Silence replaced hopes and desires
And I forgot the sight of truth and reality
The spell of bitter lies had enchanted me

Hence, my despair grew deeper in the garden of thorns
A secret garden where no flower of joy could ever bloom
The mask of illusion and deceit sunk deep into the cold soil, made of fragments of shattered delusions

No soul would ever find this kingdom of nowhere
Impenetrable and invisible to ordinary sight
This magic realm of enigmas and secrets concealed every untruth and illusion
Though every fragment of it was woven from fallacies, for all the masks of illusion lay buried beneath

    Surprised no more
I surrendered to the sweet lullabies coming from each flower
With the certitude that I was one of my dreams

    Victim of my own hallucinations
I wandered endlessly through the spectral haze of my illusions
Surrounded by the decay of faded memories that lingered like lost ghosts
Never to return to my forsaken reality.

  • Claustrophobic Thoughts

    Claustrophobic Thoughts

Claustrophobic thoughts on solitude and self-love
Duty was the master of my obsessions
Although I was travelling in an unreachable remote realm
Where I was not aware that I could have dreamed

The surprise of being a part of the time and eternity
But as an invisible and ethereal creature of darkness
Longing I could manifest all the desires of mine
    Faraway from ambiguous wicked beings

Enticed by my love and desire for my untouchable beloved
Who perceived but ignored my passion for him
Hence, frustration and impossibility separated me
Keeping me awake at night and a dreamer in the middle of the day

Whenever I could have the chance to meet him
I would rejoice in his vision and sometimes voice
Striving to obtain some quick and volatile attention
For just a few instants that sounded like an eternity

Silence and loneliness waited for me
In every corner of my mind
Whenever my hope could have been fulfilled
    In my naive dreams

    Waiting was the only option
    Even forever
As long as I could be there not far from him
    With my heart

Dreams and illusions are my merriment
Like a multicoloured lamp enlightening sleepless nights
While my claustrophobic thoughts trapped my mind
    In a vortex

Letting the river of life captivate me
I float like a leaf on the cold waters of fate
When uncertainty is the ruler of the realm
    Echoing my name

Words like carved truths on my soul
Conducting me to my unknown destination
    I become words
    I become memories

    Vanishing in the void
All that remains of me are my fears and longings
    Cling to my love
    Burning like an inextinguishable flame
Pure like the blossom of a crimson rose.

  • Echoes of Solitude

    Echoes of Solitude

The echoes of solitude lingered like ghosts,
Each sigh was a reminder of what was permanently lost.
In the chambers of silence, where memories faded,
I traced the soft outlines of illusions that betrayed.

Once passionate and secure, my heart knew no bounds,
However, in the quiet, the many storms overwhelmed around.
The walls whispered secrets of sorrow and pain,
Recounting the moments where hope met disdain.

Each creak of the floorboard evoked a haunting voice from the past,
Telling of fables and merriments that couldn’t last.
The portraits that hung on the walls seemed to cry,
Reflecting my longing, my wish to defy.

In the heart of the stillness, where time lost its touch,
I wandered through memories; my heart could not heal from the clutch.
The enigmas became entangled, too complex to feel,
A web of lost moments, no truth to reveal.

I spoke to the shadows, confided my fears,
Revealing the heartache that flowed like my tears.
Indeed, in this embrace of the silent abyss,
I found a strange comfort, a longing for bliss.

For solitude wrapped me in a stone mansion,
Where the flowers of anguish began to flourish without caution.
In the stillness, I pondered the paths that I chose,
And the weight of my sorrow, a delicate prose.

Each echo was a lesson, each silence a melody,
In the chasms of my solitude, I found serenity.
Though the world outside faded into the mist,
In the meadows of solitude, I found my true bliss.

But even in happiness, a cloud remained,
A reminder of all that could never be tamed.
For solitude’s comfort is an ephemeral glimpse at best,
A fleeting illusion that cannot bring rest.

And so I remain, a soul intertwined,
Among echoes of solitude, lost to the mind.
Surrounded by the quietude, I drift like the night,
Searching for peace, yet bound to the light.

  • The Crumbled Castle of Lost Expectations

The Crumbled Castle of Lost Expectations

The crumbled castle of lost expectations stood in ruins beneath an indifferent sky,
Its arches bent, its towers broken,
Its promises faded away too soon.

Winds howled through the hollowed halls,
Where once the fate bright had shone.
Dreams drifted like the autumn leaves,
Long dead but never entirely gone.

    Shattered windows framed the sky,
Where hope once rose but now fell fast.
The crumbled castle of lost expectations
Watched as time dragged out the past.

Its walls had held such hopes and dreams,
But those were buried deep in stone.
Each vow, each word, each fleeting thought,
Eroded by time, cold and alone.

    Forgotten by the world outside,
Its gates, once open, were now closed tight.
A monument to loss and grief,
It drowned in the depth of endless night.

The crumbled castle of lost expectations was a haven once,
But like all things, it too decayed,
Its walls were too frail to endlessly endure.

There were relics and memories from years gone by,
But now they were just ghosts in the air.
Colours and glimmers, faint, like shadows passed,
    Through corridors that lead nowhere.

A kingdom built on fragile hope,
    Now overtaken by despair.
Every dream that once gleamed radiant now lay broken,
    Scattered everywhere.

    Vines crept over forgotten doors,
    Their tendrils strangled what remained,
And ivy choked the marble floors,
    In time’s indifferent, endless chains.

The crumbled castle of lost expectations witnessed the love that turned to dust.
No joy remained, no delight, no glow,
    Only fragments of misplaced trust.

Each stone, once laid with tender hands,
    Now crumbles under sorrow’s poundage.
The days grew long, the nights grew cold,
And silence sealed its final fate.

A tower, once monumental, collapsed in pain,
Its windows were ravaged, stained with tears.
It fell not with a roar or cry,
But with a whisper through the years.

The shattered castle of forsaken dreams stood now as a tomb to all that was gone,
A hollow relic of dreams once lustrous,
And lives that flickered out at dawn.

No sun will rise, no dawn will break,
No voices will call out its name.
Only the wind will mourn its fate,
And time will erase its fleeting flame.

A silent ghost whose memories were too faint to be kept.
The crumbled castle of lost expectations fell to dust and ceased to exist.

  • The Invisible Cage

    The Invisible Cage

The invisible cage was tight enough to trap every dream,
Chains made of silence had bound sighs and hearts in an endless void of despair,
Where hope was swallowed whole, and nothingness reigned.

Having wandered through shadows, searching for hope,
Each dream had been a reminder of an endless fight and failure.
Darkness and light were trapped within the confines of an unseen embrace.

A realm depleted of colour and lost without a trace,
Whose walls were made of disquiet and the ceilings of doubt,
Each teardrop had been a reminder of the dreams that screamed out.

Yearned for freedom that dared just beyond,
A flicker of hope had kept the spirit fond.
The fences and chains were made of silence and fears deeply sown,
And each thought became a reminder of how far distress and anguish had shown.

The invisible cage was unseen but powerful,
Had held the wandering spirits captive for far too long.
Each day had felt like a ferocious struggle, and the nights had been long,
Crushed beneath the weight of what seemed so unfair.

Stares had looked to the sky where eagles had soared free,
While the stars remained bound, longing to flee.
In the abysm of the imagination, rebellion had ignited,
Boldness had broken through what once was blighted.

Desires had been filled with expectations beyond the realm of shadows,
As the senses wandered through the endless dark.
Each belief had turned to chains that dug deeper still,
Like a well without water or a promise that would never be fulfilled.

Though the cage had been hidden, its power had increased,
Everything turned to dust like shattered crystals.
In the garden of distress, the nightmares had bloomed and thrived,
Sorrows were carved on each leaf and petal.
