  • Extravagant Dreams

    Extravagant Dreams

Extravagant dreams appeared like magnificent paintings of different natures, making me feel all those emotions I never felt in real life. I wondered what it would be possible to achieve in my marvellous fantasies. Nevertheless, I never realised in my entire existence what my fate wanted me to understand through prophecies and nightmares.

The antique clock struck each hour, while its pendulum swung relentlessly from side to side, echoing the inexorable passage of time, and inducing me to find my magic manuscript of phantasmagorias and peculiarities. In truth, I had the intention to cast a spell over the moon and the stars. My vanity allowed me to relinquish all control over my heart and I was finally able to see the chaos and power of my imagination.

Extravagant dreams became my secret treasures in the lonely nights whenever the clouds covered all the luminaries, hiding the moon in their soft gloominess. Every time I awakened in the middle of the night only to realise that there was no possibility to question the stars about my shadows and destiny. Since bedlam ruled my life, my heart knew no certitudes but an exigent desire to look at the swarthy face of the moon.

Majestic ravens were my loyal witnesses to my endless thirst for vengeance. Indeed, I so often dreamed of seeing justice appear in the shape of frightening ghouls as a gift to those entities that had mistreated me so badly. My awkward and extravagant dreams were constantly my guides, willing to soothe all my resentments and grief, which were huge burdens inside my heart like inextinguishable flames.

Silence didn’t succeed in pacifying all my trepidations, in fact, I was by then at the mercy of the tumultuous winds of an approaching storm. I couldn’t even listen properly to the echoes of my thoughts lingering in the emptiness of the night like withered flowers. Extravagant dreams were no longer my shadows following me everywhere, instead, there was only a bare landscape with no trees, just a few meadows and the dust of my memories which were not there with me anymore.

  • Teardrops In The Desert

    Teardrops In The Desert

Teardrops in the desert of chaos and vulnerability were striking my face while the imperious sun was staring at me with its searing light, on the verge of overwhelming me.

The long summer nights allowed me to indulge in extravagant fantasies since I had always been fond of dreams and rainbows. But, nevertheless, I couldn’t help myself from finding the right direction.

The sun gave its place to the luminaries of the firmament, and I could perceive the feeble light of a lantern far away floating in the enchanted forest of my impossible dreams.

I became a shadow of the night and I could see the stars in their eyes, as if I were their celestial companion in the lonely nightfall. Teardrops in the desert metamorphosed into sighs and whispers in the deepest night of my life.

Without hesitation, I was tempted to embrace the chaos which was embedded in my heart, now that every delusional longing had departed from my dwelling. Hence, I strove for a stance on my fate, but I couldn’t see anything in my crystal ball.

Even the tarot cards refused to spell the truth, although I had interrogated them so many times as the number of stars. My hymns had been cast away from me as punishment for my quest to obtain that certitude that I never acquired.

Teardrops in the desert beneath my beloved moon flew like impetuous rivers at the sight of the twilight. Might I have been a brilliant star or a shy planet, I knew not. All I knew inside my heart was the sensation of a precarious destiny.

As invisible as I became and as untouchable as I pretended to be, I melted in the forest of thoughts and fears as an untamed creature of my own realm made of fantastic dreams and fancy illusions.

  • The Shadows Of My Dreams

    The Shadows Of My Dreams

The shadows of my dreams vanished in the emptiness of the night when silence dared to whisper obstreperous secrets.

So much I coveted to let my fantasy free and untamed that I was willing to let the night sky overwhelm me with its mysterious beauty and fearlessness.

An enchanted castle was my invisible dwelling where I could play hide and seek with the stars. At the same time, the silver moonlight shone through the crystal chandelier of my empty house.

The light hid behind the dark shadows, and everything seemed more blurred and phantasmagorical

The further my imagination travelled, the greater was the confusion that ruled my heart, and finally I was finding leisure while obscured by magnificent clouds

It seemed to live in the realm of dreams and illusions with no quest for a destination, and no interest in a time-bound domain of decrees

Time had fallen into oblivion, and nonsense became wisdom, for I was no longer obliged to follow the restrictions of shallow humans

I was the ruler, and I allowed myself to surrender to the shadows of my dreams as if I were unaware of any consequences

A realm made of shadows and dreams had become my cherished abode where I could sense protection and immortality

No mortal could harm me anymore or spoil my treasured dreams because I had by then become out of their reach

Could I have endured those ephemeral circumstances? I knew not, since I had chosen to live in obliviousness to immerse myself in the ocean of bliss

The night was a valley of tranquillity, and the silence encouraged me to overcome my fear of being unsteady

Unquestionably, unsteadiness had become my inevitability, and the infinity of the night’s darkness welcomed me in its majestic embrace, full of the shadows of dreams.

  • The Abyss Of Nothingness

    The Abyss Of Nothingness

The abyss of nothingness swallowed all my fractured desires
The fear that gripped my heart and that sense of calm, of stability that took hold of my life made me a helpless and insignificant creature, invisible to mortals, yet at the same time the target of their cruelties.

How much I wished to be different, to be accepted, and to be treated with great respect for who I truly was. But in truth, my entire life was a series of piercing endurance of inhuman suffering, humiliations, cruelties against me, deceit, mockery, traps, attempts to undermine my being, violence, and all the most barbaric and terrifying acts against my soul and myself.

My life had not been a normal existence—one that no one could have understood. My experience was not a common one. I had lived through a time when my dream had encapsulated me in an ideal, evanescent, and ethereal reality. No one could see me, especially during that period of apparent death. Yes, because for ten long years I had not lived—I had fallen into a deep and fatal dream, isolated from everything and everyone. I had built my own kingdom of dreams and illusions, into which, day by day, I entrusted my very self.

All the hourglasses in my dwelling had come to a halt, and the flow of time had lost all meaning. The disconnection from the truth that surrounded me had become both a tendency and a habit—one that turned into law. Indeed, I had become like a crystal frozen in time, like a statue untouched by its passing. I carried within me that immaterial sense of my heart, trapped in a confining aura.

I no longer cared what society thought, nor what people might perceive of me. And so it remains. For my rarity and my strangeness are imperceptible to any human heart. I was accused of things that never were, of things my heart could not even fathom. Everything had vanished like soap bubbles. Nothing remained—only bitter memories or sorrowful ones that dragged me down into the depths of an untouchable abyss.

Delicate and fragile as I was, I had lost the ability to love, to admire, and to obey mortals. I no longer saw them as similar to me, but rather, I perceived other beings—creatures who had no voice in the human condition—as kindred, as dear to me. And so it was that the abyss of nothingness possessed me, and it will always possess a part of my soul. For I belong to the emptiness and to the darkness.

  • The Magic Beneath Her Smile

    The Magic Beneath Her Smile

    The magic beneath her smile
In a hush of varnished sight
    Her gaze held mine
    She was not senseless
    She was enigmatic
    A timeless masterpiece
    An eternal and sublime beauty
As if she knew everything about me
And all that I hadn’t yet dared to live

    Seventeen-seventeen was the arcane message
She whispered to me in the gallery aura
Like a cypher and a vow
A painting is much more than a mirror
It is the reflection of a soul into a thin surface of eternity

    The time became nineteen-nineteen
Like wings folding back into the surface of my body
An unlived existence was rising up from between my heart
And it was not a fairytale or a legend
But a secret signal and a door to another world

    Surreal fantasies became my realm
And there I lingered silent and astonished
Immobile like a sphinx with staring eyes
Futile as I felt like the moments of bliss I lived in that magic kingdom of beauty and eternity
An exquisite world where my heart beat again joyfully

Vanity and ephemeral dreams took me to mysterious places
Where I discovered new oddities and ancient secrets
I wouldn’t be able to understand which spell had been cast on me
I only knew I couldn’t resist the captivating labyrinth of arts

The magic beneath her smile concealed arcane mysteries
It wasn’t a prosaic artwork but a divine splendour
    Dressed in centuries of varnish
    Hid behind a shining crystal
Surrounded by fragments of timeless magnificence.

  • I Want To Be Like The Sea

I Want To Be Like The Sea

I want to be like the sea
I want to be like the wind
I want to be like the leaves floating free in the mist
I want to fly away into a dream.

  • The Golden Mirage

    The Golden Mirage

The golden mirage appeared in front of me
I couldn’t perceive if I were dreaming or awake
But I could sense the magnificence of my vision
As I forgot all my anxieties and fears, I proceeded on my path
The deception of my fantasy could have betrayed me
Because it felt so tangible and discernible

I chased delusions and I couldn’t discern between reality and dream
I had lost all my purposes, wandering without any directions
My unintentional existence was a chimera
Just a delusional journey destined to end in the valley of desolation
In that barren stillness, I couldn’t find any awareness or hope
My delusional adventure conducted me into the abyss of despair

I had lost everything and the enchanting, tainted spell transformed into a ruin
Distorted reflections of myself shimmered in giant golden mirrors
Sparkling in all their lush illusion beneath the silent stare of the stars
Every dream that blossomed in my imagination became a stone flower
Everything I ever desired was reduced to crumbles of dust
I felt the awareness that I had fallen victim to my own betrayal

Every piece of my heart had been burned like an inextinguishable flame
Wicked ghouls watched me from afar, sending me missives imbued with scorn and disdain
While a defending silence resounded all over the surreal realm of gold and darkness
Where absurdities and oddities governed as capricious rulers
In this kingdom of gilded trees and silver moons, there were no directions or tickling clocks
Everything seemed inert but also topsy-turvy

My sleepless sanity surrendered to madness
Overwhelmed by the outrage of my own fractured mind
I wept behind a veil made of ephemeral lies
The stars conspired against me, singing enigmas and riddles I couldn’t solve
Making me feel dizzy and desperate
I was a powerless creature in the realm of the golden mirage
I had become a mirage myself.

  • Leaving Myself Behind

    Leaving Myself Behind

    Leaving myself behind
    Through the pains and fears
    Anguish was my ruler
    And I didn’t demand anything
Hurt was my soul made of pins and blood

The roars of the demons claiming me echoed in my head
The castle of doom was my pristine dwelling
It was made of bones and ashes
In the gloominess of the midnight

I was fleeing from death to become decadence
    Leaving everything behind
My past had crumbled to sand and memories
Remembrances that followed me wherever I was going

Disgraceful was my existence and only thorns stroked me
Black roses were swallowing me like a prey
    Gloaming shadows surrounded me
Beneath the indifferent gaze of the silvery moon

I could only hear laments as manifestations of the night
A mist of sorrow shrouded me like a gloomy cloak
The cold air was full of decadence
My heart slowed down at the sound of the drums of mourning

I wandered beneath the barren heavens
I had become a ghost clothed in remnants of despair
I strived to seek refuge and rescue
But all I could ever feel was the numbness of endless wandering

The world around me blurred into shadows
My realm was a graveyard of forsaken dreams
Where even the stars had eclipsed for eternity
And the winds sang elegies to my fall

In this endless procession of sadness
I was no longer a creature of the light because my heart was deceased
But I was only a phantom dissolving into a mist
Forever swallowed by the sorrowful darkness

    Leaving myself behind
I left a trail of thorns and blood
    My heart was torn apart
I was just a shadow of the underworld

My face was carved with tears and scars
And the paleness of death erased it all
As if all my agony had faded like dust
In the end, I vanished into the oblivion of forsaken sorrows.

  • Locked Up In My Fantasies

    Locked Up In My Fantasies

    Locked up in my fantasies
    Aware of my unawareness
Softly indulging in my pleasant decay
Falling into the trap of loneliness
In an existence deprived of love and delight
My desires and fantasies became the only salvation

I knew not how long I’d been locked up in my realm
Lovely dreams visited my feeble slumber
On the silent nights, protected by the shadows of ghosts
Waiting for some fallen luminary to glimmer sparkles toward me
    I lingered through eternity
In the darkness of my mind

Confused and dismayed I wandered in my loneliness
    Starving delight and merriment
As I was doomed to a cruel and infamous fate
Nothing I could have accomplished to change the course of occurrences
I was chained to a sinking boat
While hearing the screams of spirits haunting me

Until my very last day of existence
The infamous tyranny to which I had been enslaved, had disposed of my life
My heart was crumbled to dust of decay
My body was the representation of dread and abuse
Time was not anymore the master of my life
As I became part of the realm of the dead

The sun no longer shone upon me
Instead, the tempestuous clouds obscured all the stars
Leaving me sightless for the deep obscurity of the night
I was not anymore aware of my lugubre surroundings
    Trapped within my own nightmares
    Disregarded by the world outside

I floated into an endless silence
Each gust was a sigh fading in the void
I sought fragments of my sparkling and fleeting dreams
Where once there was love, now only shadows had remained
My mind had become a labyrinth of dead fantasies
I stumbled through the graveyard of shadows

Chasing glimmers of elation I could never grasp
As each vision slipped away like grains of sand
The cold embrace of solitude came to be my only companion
While I longed for the glimmer of a flame that would never ignite
The wicked claws of my destiny held me captive
Tugging at the fabric of my fragile hope

I still lingered in the darkest of prisons
Where even the faintest flicker of rebellion was obliterated
In the end, I was nothing but a fading star
Falling from the sky of my own illusions
To be swallowed entirely by the noiseless abyss of darkness
I was locked up in my fantasies, made of void and oblivion
Where my dreams dissolved into nothingness.

  • The Embrace Of The Shadows

    The Embrace Of The Shadows

The embrace of the shadows woke me up
It was midnight, and I had fallen deep into the ocean of dreams
Crimson roses had blossomed around me
I was wandering in the luscious garden of lust

I had become a creature of the darkness
I was the bride of an incubus who chased me in my nightmares
He visited me every eternal night
Draining me of my blood and soul

My supernatural existence was entwined with decay and grief
While my demon claimed me as his devoted servant
    Mesmerised by his enchantment
I let him bind me in chains

    His poisonous kisses intoxicated me
I felt bewitched and hypnotised by his presence
He followed me wherever I went
Taking the form of a magnificent crow

I was crying blood while a crown of red roses and thorns was resting upon my hair
A symbol of my enduring anguish that I cherished with devotion
My heart was pierced by daggers of passion and torment
I was bound eternally to my divine master

I was obsessively enslaved by fervour and pain
I found endless delight in every pang he inflicted
For each bleeding wound, I felt an ecstatic pleasure
The chains around my body made me feel free

In the embrace of the shadows
I had become a creature of the darkness
My dark wings carried me, enticed by the lullabies of nightfall
Following my beloved ghoul in the wilderness of darkness and oblivion

I was merrily doomed and I sank deeper into the abyss of forbidden desires
Conscious I was not anymore and my senses overwhelmed my mind
I was the darkness, the shadows and the abyss of oblivion
My dark sovereign had taken complete possession of me
And I felt a blissful euphoria inside myself
    We were the same creatures
Made of lust, grief, and ecstatic decay.
